Your plan sets:
  • requests per second for each effort level, and optionally across all of them;
  • an optional number of requests per UTC day;
  • the largest limit (results per search);
  • how far back you can search;
  • whether you can open story pages, and how often;
  • which Enterprise fields you can add with include.

Check your plan

GET /subscription returns all of your limits and your credit balance. It is free.

When you hit a limit

Over a rate limit you get 429 with a Retry-After header. Wait that many seconds, then retry the same request. A search_window longer than your plan’s history is not refused: it is cut to your history, and the response says "clamped": true in window.

Agent limits

  • max_rows can be 50 (default) or 100. More is refused with too_many_rows.
  • Monitors can run hourly only when your plan allows it. A shorter interval than your plan allows is refused with invalid_schedule.
  • A company run takes up to 50 companies on Free and pay-as-you-go plans. On Enterprise plans, more are split into runs of up to 50, grouped in a batch.
