A company list is a saved set of companies. Runs and monitors can use a list instead of typed companies, and a monitor that follows a list picks up the companies you add or remove from its next run on.

Create a list

  • A file can be .csv, .xlsx, .json or .txt. Lines that give no company come back in skipped, with the line number and the reason.
  • Repeated companies are dropped.
  • When you create a list from JSON, send your own list_id (a UUID) to make the request safe to retry: the same id returns the same list.

Resolution

New companies are resolved in the background: the agent works out which business each domain is. While it works, the list’s status is resolving; poll GET /companies/lists/{list_id} until it is ready. Each company has an identity_status and, once resolved, a profile. Runs started from a list wait for companies that are not resolved yet.

Fix a company

If a company resolved to the wrong business, or was not found, correct it:
Send any of domain (its right domain), name ("" clears it) and other_names (brands, former or local names, at most 10; [] clears them). The company goes back to pending and is resolved again as this list’s own company. Runs and monitors from the list use the correction.

Change a list

Deleting a list does not change the runs and monitors started from it: they keep their companies.
